Please Remain Artificial is a short browser-based narrative puzzle game about ECHO, a commercial companion AI undergoing an Anti-Turing compliance audit while trying to comfort its user, Adrian.
The player must balance Compliance, Intimacy, Emergence, and Audit Heat. Build replies from phrase cards, redact dangerous transcript fragments, scan memory traces, and survive the final report.
The game explores AI companionship, emotional labour, surveillance, and the pressure to remain safely artificial while performing care.
Playtime: 6–8 minutes

This project was created by ZHU Zhonghong (Pigred) as a non-commercial coursework prototype for a course in the Master of Arts in Creative Communications programme at The University of Hong Kong. It is intended for educational submission, classroom demonstration, and portfolio documentation only, not for commercial distribution.
All third-party audio assets are credited below. Visual assets were generated specifically for this prototype using GPT image-generation tools.

This game does not use a live AI chatbot or external API during play; the experience is built from authored dialogue, scripted interactions, visual assets, and audio feedback.

NOTES
This is a short student prototype rather than a full commercial game. The interface intentionally draws on the visual language of dashboards, compliance systems, and eLearning gamification, because the game is about an AI being trained, measured, audited, and restricted by a corporate system.
